The Hanoi–Hai Phong Railway runs 100 km east from Hanoi to the port city of Hai Phong, which is close to Cat Ba Island and Ha Long Bay, two of Vietnam’s most popular tourist destinations. Four trains run in each direction daily, taking around two and a half hours each way.
